KHS Master Saddler Ltd

Based in the heart of a rural Staffordshire community, in Eccleshall, Kate is a traditional Master Saddler who makes and repairs a wide range of leatherwork from traditional side saddle making and renovation to simple belt making. Most items are completely made by hand using traditional hand tools only and time honoured skills.

Kate was granted the title of Master saddler by The Society Of Master Saddlers after proving the quality of her work over many years at the annual National Saddlery Competition, held at Saddlers Hall in London.
Here she has been a consistent prize winner every year, including winning first place in the very prestigious class of Side Saddle Making.

Kates skills are transferable across the board so most things are possible and she has a vast portfolio. She has great pride and dedication to her skills and puts as much care into repairing a hand bag as she does repairing a one hundred year old side saddle. She is also passionate about producing quality that lasts and does not end up in land fill. Leather is an incredibly sustainable material that, when made well, is made to last and made to be repaired time and time again. Sustainability at its finest.
